DUI checkpoint planned Friday night in Ocala
Posted in Florida DUI Checkpoints by adminTraffic officers from the Ocala Police Department, joined by officers with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, the Dunnellon Police Department and the Florida Highway Patrol, will conduct a DUI checkpoint Friday night from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. in the 2900 block of North Pine Avenue.
“This is a joint effort by the agencies involved to identify those persons driving under the influence, remove them from the roadways and, thereby, save lives,” an OPD news release states.
It is unlawful to host a DUI checkpoint without informing the public. We post these checkpoints to do just that.
