Fort Myers woman charged with DUI after I-75 crash

The Florida Highway Patrol has charged Maria J. Tinajero with DUI and Careless Driving after she crashed her car on I-75 early Tuesday morning.

The crash occurred at 1:07 a.m. near the Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard Jr. exit (mile marker 138) in Fort Myers, according to the report.

According to the report, the vehicle was traveling northbound when it lost control, spun and struck a guardrail.

Both the driver and the passenger sustained minor injuries, and Tinajero was transported to Lee Memorial Hospital.

There were no other vehicles involved in the crash.
